Zane's Spring Musical...

Zane's preschool class performed a few songs this morning and then they attended the annual Spring Carnival. They all had fun and Zane did an awesome job performing, especially on "Yankee Doodle Dandee"! He also thoroughly enjoyed his cotton candy, as you can tell from the last pic! LOL!

Barnyard "Moo"sical...

Tonight was the kindergarten "Barnyard Moosical" and it was VERY cute! There were all kinds of barnyard animals, including pigs (Aidan's class), goats, cows and chickens. Oh, and let's not forget the ever important...farmers!

Beautiful Texas Weather...

I realize that this is my third post for today, but it has been a busy, busy day! It was soooo gorgeous here today (90's), I just had to take the kids to the shops up the street for a little water fun. I think the pictures speak for themselves. ;-)

Happy Earth Day!

In honor of Earth Day, every student at Heritage Elementary released ladybugs - 800 cups in all! Since I'm the class gardener for Aidan and Payson's classes, I got to help the kids release their ladies! I stayed with Aidan's class for the release and we had ladybugs all over us! What fun!!!

Elise the Christmas Tree...

Payson had her first book published! Around Christmas time, the second graders were given the opportunity to write a story and have their book published by The Flying Hawks Publishing Company. The school publishing company accepted the first 10 stories. Payson got to read her story to us and her class today. She was pretty excited and just a little nervous....

Birthday Ear Piercing...

Ouch! Payson has been BEGGING us to let her get her ears pierced! Abslolutely ALL of her friends have their ears pierced! I told her that when she turned 8 she could get them pierced, so here we are at Sweet-n-Sassy. She picked out her birthstone - diamonds. Afterall, they are a girls best friend!

HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY PAYSON!!!

Birthday rats? No, you're not seeing things, we did get Payson two rats for her birthday. That's close to a hamster, right? I still don't know how I got talked into them, but I do think they're cute and the important thing is that Payson adores them! At least for now! They were up for adoption at PETCO - a school teacher owned them and took a leave of absence so she couldn't keep them anymore. Their names are Lewis and Clark. Pretty fitting since Payson just finished her school report on Sacajawea! LOL! I'll keep you posted on the life and time of Lewis and Clark's adventures at Casa de Kelley.

Easter Sunday!

The Kelley kids had a blast hunting for tons of eggs that the Easter bunny left for them! Why is it that the Easter bunny spends SO much time filling and hiding eggs and then it's over 5 minutes after the kids wake up? Just doesn't seem fair......LOL!
