Sacajawea: Guide to Lewis and Clark....Payson's second grade class made paper dolls at school and had to choose an American, historical figure to report on and create their character out of the paper doll. We had fun creating Sacajawea and Payson did a FANTASTIC job of informing us about her during her presentation. Three important things that Sacajawea did: interpreted for Lewis and Clark with the Shoshone Indians; found healthy vegetables, roots and berries for the expedition to eat; and rescued supplies from an overturned boat. Great eye-contact and elaboration Payson! We're so proud of you!
We went to open house at the school last night and it was so much fun to see all the characters that the kids created! They ALL did an excellent job!
